That night, Treyvian was sitting on top of the school’s building, gazing up at the moon, which he had missed. The night was silent, with only the sound of a slight breeze. As he looked upon the moon, his face displayed a relaxed smile, as Cecilia’s eyes brought back his memories as well as desire to fly again.
He stood and walked towards the edge of the rooftop.
“Treyvian!” came a voice from the ground. He looked down, surprised. He hadn’t been expecting anyone to be out at that hour.
It was Cecilia, of course. “Wait!” she shouted, then disappeared into the building.
And so he waited. Finally, Cecilia arrived at the rooftop. “What are you doing?” she asked, breathless. Her brows were knitted together.
Instead of answering, Treyvian calmly extended a hand towards her. Cecilia didn’t understand what he meant, but she took his hand, thinking she would get an answer when she did.
Treyvian pulled her towards himself, then carried her in his arms. With a single leap, they were up in the sky. He paid attention to Cecilia’s every reaction. In his mind, he was terrified of what it may be, but on the surface, his calmness never altered.
“Whoa!” she exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with excitement and surprise. “Is this your reason?” she asked in the same excited tone.
He let out a sigh of relief. “Yes,” he answered. They flew further away from the buildings, until they could almost see the sight she had shown him not so long ago.
“That is awesome!” She enjoyed it.
She enjoyed it.
That thought echoed in his mind.
